132 Avenue Construction Information
Updated April 8, 2025
City of Edmonton's 132 Avenue Renewal Project to Impact Access to St. Vladimir starting April 14, 2025.
The City of Edmonton has notified us that construction along 132 Avenue will directly impact St. Vladimir Catholic Elementary School beginning April 14, 2025, weather permitting.
The work is part of the City of Edmonton's 132 Avenue Renewal Project, which runs from Fort Road to 127 Street. Construction near the school is expected to last until October 2025, including road closures, traffic delays, and temporary changes to pedestrian routes.
To reduce disruption during the school year, work directly in front of the school is planned for the summer months.
What Families Can Expect
- Construction resumes between 66 Street and 82 Street starting mid-April 2025.
- Affected residents will receive direct construction notices from the City of Edmonton.
- Detours and delays are expected—especially during drop-off and pick-up times.
- Parking around the school will be limited during construction.
